The authors

Karl and Debbie Dortzbach. For over 50 years our lives have intertwined and grown together for many years. Our global walk started in Eritrea in 1973 and took us back to Kenya in 1980. We have walked with church leaders in health care, community development, HIV/AIDS, conflict change, training and education.  Our engagements have often been different, yet deeply connected.  This is the theme of our past, and of our future.  It is our journey.

The purpose

The Swahili proverb Waendao wawili hukumbushana means "Two walking together cause each other to remember".  As we walk together in the future, we want to “cause you remember” God’s work, His plan, His hope in a broken world.  And we need you to “cause us remember” our greatest goal: to live and share God’s redemptive healing in a broken world.
